Can China focused sites please NOT use feedburner to host your feeds? If you guys haven’t noticed, the feeds.feedburner.com domain is blocked in China.

At least post the original rss feed as well.

I noticed some sites are already doing this.  Thanks guys:

  • China Law Blog
  • Chinalyst- although they added a stupid alternative feed hosting service.  To bypass, the rss.xml is still valid

Thank you.

It wasn’t blocked until two months ago. Maybe they really haven’t noticed.

We’re aware of the issues – and have been trying to reach contacts at both China Netcom and China Telecom to address the issue. Evidence at first suggested a routing error (users of one ISP couldn’t get to us but others could), but that may no longer be the case. We’ll post to our Forums (forums.feedburner.com) whenever we have an update.

    Thanks,

    Rick,

Thanks for monitoring the blogs regarding this.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling the “man” has “discovered” how feeds can bypass what they have blocked and are now blocking the feed services…..

Ack… no wonder my page views have dropped off, not insignificantly!

I have added a new second inside China special link… also added you to my blog roll. Do you feel special now? ;-)
