Remember a few weeks ago I posted about the crackdown on “illegal drugs” in the sanlitun area? (Was it really a crackdown on illegal drugs? Anyone’s guess…) My follow-up post is here.
Well, I was at the same spot on Sunday and they put this banner out prominently for all to see.

Effective?
You be the judge.

It is unusual to see an English translation on a red banner. Must be targeted at foreigners.

Xiao Zhu, You’re most likely right as this banner is at the site of the drug crackdown a couple of weeks, which in deed target foreigners.

where to go now for selling my stuff? ^^ i think no need for banners just send time by time some undercover police and no one dare to deal there anymore (that open like before) one big action will not change much, and banner also dont… xuedi

I like the way they used “blow” in the slogan.

Xuedi, good point. This location is literally about 100 meters from the Sanlitun police station. Just send some patrols each night at different times…
But, I am not sure how effective undercover operations as these activities specifically deal with foreigners…

Ben - I didn’t even think about that. Nice catch!
