Nexus One Digitizer Repair

As some of you may know, I got the Nexus One a few weeks ago. After having it about 3 weeks, I dropped it. The glass digitizer cracked.

I sourced a replacement digitizer (glass screen) via Alibaba from China. I had to buy bulk (10) – so anyone in Singapore who has a broken Nexus One, email me. I’m selling.

I fixed it, took about 2 hours, but it works! No left over screws!

New Years Resolution #2: Simplify Online Stuff

I have way too much stuff online (I’m talking specifically services I’m paying for). So here’s what I’m going to do:

1. Get rid of JungleDisk offsite backups (including the S3 storage). I’m using Mozy, and sticking with it.
2. Get rid of my Dreamhost hosting
3. Get rid of my Rackspace Cloud hosting
4. Move everything to Squarespace (I just want it to work)

Um, anything else?

With Twitter, I have really neglected this blog. What should I be doing here? I thought about using a service like Tumblr or Postulous and try to integrate everything – so there would be a somewhat aggregate of everything I’m doing online, but then I loose my domain branding and old posts…

Another option is simplify my blog (don’t use such a flashy and jquery heavy theme – go back to basics – and see if there are any good wordpress plugins to do what I want (bringing in twitter, flickr, etc – in a type of auto-feed mechanism.

Just some thoughts….

I don’t want to get rid of the blog as some people from my past (Sid) still comes here from time to time, so I will try to update it a bit more often, just need to figure out how.

Found Great Sichuan Restaurant in Singapore!

Pretty much like back in Beijing! I was in gastronomical heaven for dinner tonight.

First, the important details so you can find it. They have a few locations! We were at the one with the “check mark”. This “Si Chuan Kingdom” sounds interesting at Outram Park. I’ll need to check those guys out!!!

Chong Qing La Zi Ji!!!! AHHHH. Unfortunately, it was a little over cooked. But we’ll try it next time!

Gan Bian Si Ji Dou (Gan Bian Bian Dou). A true classic. Could be spicier – we’ll ask them to put in the peppers next time.

The restaurant’s name sake. Ma Po Dou Fu. Excellent here!!! MMMMMmmmmmm…

And, the best Chinese dish, ever – the Gong Bao Ji Ding. I give it a 8 out of 10. But, it did have the Huajiao – something I’ve had a hard time finding here in Singapore.

Now, if I could only find a Xinjiang restaurant here…

So, after moving my host to the new host, during the night it seemed to crash. Have a look at the memory graphs:

Update: Did some tweaking in MySQL and Apache, looking much better:
